About the Role

The Project Services Application Engineering team is led to manage the workload and distribution of requests for proposals, specification responses, technical support for the sales team, and order reviews. The leader develops and trains Application Engineers to support the Critical Power Project team and serves as a liaison among customers, UPS plants, sales teams, project managers, and support groups. Key responsibilities include interpreting project specifications, creating detailed proposal and cost worksheets, reviewing proposals for accurate BOM, technical and pricing information, and ensuring order accuracy. The role also provides technical assistance throughout project execution, prepares UPS electronic submittals, determines pricing strategies to drive growth while maintaining profitability, and acts as account manager for key accounts such as the PCCIE contract. • Manage RFP distribution and workload for the Project Services team. • Train Application Engineers for Critical Power Project support. • Create proposals and cost worksheets for all projects. • Review proposals for correct bill of materials, technical accuracy, and pricing. • Review incoming orders for accuracy and coordinate with the Project Execution team. • Provide technical assistance during project execution and interface with plant and global services. • Prepare and review UPS electronic submittals for customer orders. • Define pricing strategies to achieve incremental growth while meeting profitability targets. • Serve as account manager for key accounts, overseeing success, issue resolution, and communication. • Support strategic initiatives and pipeline growth aiming for $300 M annual pipeline. • Own the agent engagement process, ensuring division alignment and timely commission payouts. • Write and review subcontractor scopes and agreements, and evaluate risk. • Estimate electrical system installations.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and have at least seven years of hands‑on experience in electrical distribution, UPS services, and proposal development, including government proposal procedures. A valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license, ability to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions, and proficiency in the MS Office Suite are required. • Maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reside in the United States. • Experience with government proposal procedures, FARS, GSA purchasing, and Army Corps of Engineers. • Travel domestically and internationally without restrictions and access military/government sites. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
