Job Highlights
About the Role
The Lead Operating Engineer leads, with minimal supervision, the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems, and may assist the Chief Engineer in directing the team. This on‑site role follows a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with local market requirements that may vary slightly. • Complete assigned tasks such as painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance • Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance program • Maintain the CMMS work order system daily and fulfill tenant service requests • Provide training and supervision to expand the engineering team's capabilities • Support on‑call or emergency response situations as needed • Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls • Comply with all safety procedures • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
