About the Role
The Task Team (Central) supports contracts across Mears, mobilising staff to assist understaffed sites in Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Stoke‑on‑Trent and surrounding areas. The new branch will consist of 12 operatives, one planner and one supervisor, providing day‑to‑day, response, voids and planned repairs while occasionally travelling to other contracts. • Schedule operatives to maximise resource use and meet repair deadlines. • Monitor and update daily repair jobs, appointments and overdue tasks. • Ensure operatives correctly use PDAs and input schedule of rates in IT systems. • Communicate professionally with residents, operatives and stakeholders. • Collaborate with administrators, supervisors and contractors for seamless service. • Provide cover for other planners and attend meetings or training as needed. • Adhere to company policies and Health & Safety regulations. • Assist with reporting and performance monitoring to meet KPIs. • Prioritise emergency and urgent jobs to minimise resident disruption. • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance. • Suggest improvements to streamline planning and scheduling processes. • Deliver general administrative support to the repairs team when required.
