About the Role

The Senior Data Engineer leads the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise‑scale data solutions, providing technical leadership on data architectures, pipelines, and models while ensuring quality, performance, security, and governance. The role partners with business leaders, architects, and development teams to translate complex requirements, mentors junior engineers, and drives best‑practice adoption of emerging data technologies. • Architect, build, and govern scalable data pipelines ensuring reliability, performance, and data quality. • Define and enforce standards for data modeling, documentation, and data quality validation. • Lead development of Power BI semantic models, optimized datasets, dashboards, and complex DAX measures. • Design and optimize databases and data solutions supporting enterprise integrations and applications. • Mentor junior engineers and promote adoption of best practices and emerging data technologies. • Oversee and optimize Azure cloud‑native data platforms, including Azure Data Factory pipelines, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. • Own and evolve data warehouse architectures to enable advanced analytics and reporting. • Collaborate with business and technical leaders to translate complex requirements into secure, scalable data solutions. • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend; lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb. • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.

What You Bring

Physical work may involve occasional stooping, lifting up to 50 lb, and frequent use of computers and communication tools throughout the shift. • 5+ years of professional SQL experience designing, optimizing, and supporting complex data models, queries, and transformations in production environments. • Advanced proficiency with modern data and analytics tools such as Databricks/Spark, Power BI, Git, Python, Azure data services, and CI/CD pipelines. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent education and experience. • Proven ability to independently lead and deliver complex data engineering solutions, manage competing priorities, and troubleshoot high‑impact data issues. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions, collaborate with business leaders, and mentor junior engineers. • Frequent use of hands for grasping, handling, and feeling objects. • Regular interaction with people and technology; frequent use of telephone, computer, email, and electronic devices. • Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for the duration of a shift.
