About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radioactive Waste Lead at Vulcan NRTE in Thurso. The role will lead all management and sentencing of waste on the site and ensure appropriate strategies and plans are in place to demonstrate compliance with all nuclear and environmental regulation relevant to site operations. • Lead the Radioactive Waste element of the Vulcan programme, overseeing day‑to‑day waste management on site. • Ensure on‑site waste management and sentencing comply with legislation, MOD and Rolls‑Royce processes. • Advise and support the Site Authorisee and teams on radioactive waste matters, assuming delegated responsibility for all solid waste management. • Develop strategic and operational documentation for managing all categories of radioactive waste. • Maintain compliance with AC 32/33/34 and SEPA radioactive waste disposal authorisation. • Prepare and manage waste inventories and submissions to UKRWI.

What You Bring
