About the Role

Team members design new water‑control structures, upgrade hydropower dams, rehabilitate navigation lock facilities, and work on levee closure structures. Joining the Colliers Water team provides diverse, challenging work and accelerates professional growth. The role involves performing engineering calculations, creating construction cost estimates, and developing designs for structures located on or near water. Responsibilities also include QA/QC reviews, interpreting multidisciplinary drawings, conducting field inspections, researching code provisions, and preparing proposals and construction drawings. • Perform engineering calculations and develop construction cost estimates. • Collaborate with senior staff to design water‑related structures such as locks, dams, and control gates. • Conduct QA/QC reviews of design methodology and calculations. • Interpret multidisciplinary drawings and respond to requests for information. • Perform field inspections and surveys to support design and construction. • Research and apply relevant code provisions. • Explore design alternatives and document findings for project engineers. • Apply standard engineering techniques and exercise professional judgment. • Assist in preparing proposals, client information, and design documents. • Produce and revise construction drawings.

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required, and an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification is a plus. Candidates should have an interest in water‑related structural projects and preferably possess internship or coursework experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
