About the Role

The Senior Operations Manager for Critical Facilities serves as the single point of contact for managing mission‑critical and campus facility operations. Reporting to the Director of Critical Environments, this role works closely with the Operations Manager, Chief Engineer, Sr. Facility Manager, and the Corporate Real Estate team to ensure 100 % uptime and exceptional service delivery. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of critical infrastructure such as power, UPS, cooling, HVAC, fire/life safety, generators, BMS, and water treatment systems. The manager maintains preventative maintenance programs, emergency response protocols, compliance with JLL JCAP and HSSEQ requirements, and the critical facilities qualification program, while also creating and reviewing MOPs/MCS documents for BNSF ServiceNow CAB approval. Leadership duties involve managing technical staff, conducting performance reviews, maintaining succession plans, and supporting short‑ and long‑term infrastructure projects. The role also develops cost‑reduction programs, manages operating and capital budgets, prepares regular financial and client reports, and collaborates with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. • Oversee daily operations of power, UPS, cooling, HVAC, fire/life safety, generators, BMS, and water treatment systems. • Maintain and update preventative maintenance programs for critical and base‑building assets. • Analyze and optimize system performance in weekly team meetings with Operations Manager and Chief Engineer. • Manage emergency response protocols for critical facility incidents. • Ensure compliance with JLL JCAP program and maintain HSSEQ training records. • Administer SharePoint working folders, reference library, and qualification program for engineers. • Create, review, and submit MOPs/MCS documents for BNSF ServiceNow CAB approvals. • Lead technical staff, conduct mid‑year and annual performance reviews, and develop succession plans. • Support short‑ and long‑term critical infrastructure projects alongside the Director of Critical Facilities. • Develop programs to reduce operating costs and increase productivity. • Manage operating and capital budgets, including monthly variance reporting. • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports. • Assist in annual and long‑range capital planning for critical and general office building equipment.

What You Bring

Qualifications include 7‑10 years of experience in critical facilities operations, preferably in data centers or healthcare, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and relevant certifications. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, BMS, fire safety, and lifecycle analysis is required, along with excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
