About the Role

• Serve as HR Business Partner for assigned groups, partnering with leaders on people and talent initiatives • Lead HR process improvement between HRBPs, Centers of Excellence, and HR Operations • Advise leaders and employees on people management issues, providing problem identification, solution evaluation, and coaching • Manage special projects such as process simplification, policy rollouts, and high‑performing team sessions • Oversee deployment of core HR processes including compensation planning and performance reviews • Lead and manage projects independently with the ability to travel up to 20‑30%

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Business Partner to align HR strategies with business goals, support multiple business groups, and drive talent initiatives in collaboration with leadership. The role is based at the Minnesota headquarters with a hybrid work model and requires 15% to 25% travel. • Demonstrate knowledge of HR practices: Talent Management, Employee Relations, Compensation, and Project Management • Exhibit strong attention to detail, written communication, and organizational/multi‑tasking abilities • Communicate effectively orally, listen actively, and interact across in‑person, phone, and email channels • Drive results in fast‑moving, changing environments with analytical and critical thinking for HR reporting and recommendations • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least five years of HR experience for HRBP; 6‑8 years for Senior HRBP

The position offers two levels—HRBP and Senior HRBP—with compensation based on experience and location. Base pay ranges from $83,700 to $125,600 for HRBP and $103,200 to $154,800 for Senior HRBP, with higher ranges for certain office locations.
