About the Role

Key responsibilities include acting as the quality focal point for assessing and capturing contractual requirements, analysing contracts to develop Quality Plans and Compliance Matrices, and holding meetings with customers to agree on deliverables. The Engineer will manage quality relationships with internal and external partners, lead non‑conformance management, support internal and external audit programmes, and conduct improvement projects using quality tools. Additional duties involve root‑cause investigations of customer escapes, leading resolution of customer complaints, attending programme review meetings, and maintaining the required skill levels and training. The role works closely with the Quality Executive, Commercial Manager, Programme Manager, Customer Representatives, OE and MRO Managers and other key stakeholders across the contract. • Capture and flow down contractual quality requirements across the business. • Engage partners and customers to align quality objectives and resolve complaints. • Lead non‑conformance management and conduct compliance audits. • Analyse contracts, create Quality Plans and Compliance Matrices. • Maintain stakeholder relationships and support internal/external audit programmes. • Drive process improvement projects using quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, RCA, 8D). • Perform root‑cause investigations and implement containment actions. • Support the Defence Programme as the Quality Engineer. • Ensure adherence to Rolls‑Royce Management Systems (RRMS) and regulatory standards. • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and customers.

What You Bring

We are looking for a self‑starter with strong stakeholder management skills and experience applying problem‑solving techniques such as 5 Whys, RCA and 8D. Candidates should have knowledge of Green Belt and process‑improvement methodologies, be an auditor or lead auditor, and possess extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and international quality standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, visualisation tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and SAP, as well as familiarity with the Rolls‑Royce Management System (RRMS), is essential, together with the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels. • Possess audit/lead‑auditor experience and knowledge of Green Belt methodologies. • Demonstrate strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Tableau/PowerBI, SAP).
