About the Role

• Design civil and transport infrastructure drainage systems. • Analyze and review hydrological and hydraulic models. • Provide technical expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems, including piped networks and transverse structures. • Promote a digital work environment and delivery culture. • Perform hydraulic and system design to meet site-specific requirements. • Develop innovative, value‑engineered solutions. • Supervise, mentor, and support intermediate and junior engineers. • Conduct hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, reports, design reviews, and supervision. • Lead projects, manage client relationships, and obtain design approvals. • Coordinate with CAD/BIM/3‑D modeling teams.

What You Bring

Parsons is hiring an experienced Principal Drainage Engineer for Dubai, UAE. The role offers the chance to work across a wide variety of projects while developing skills and leadership expertise. • Apply knowledge of biological and physical stormwater processes. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 14 years of water engineering experience, including stormwater drainage design for civil and transport projects. • Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles. • Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (SWMM, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS) and Infoworks ICM (1D/2D). • Advanced GIS and CAD skills (ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation). • Ability to create and perform complex calculations and design verification. • Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS). • Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualification or progress toward it. • Proven ability to work in multi‑disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects on schedule. • Master’s degree in Water Engineering or Hydrology (advantageous). • Experience with Dubai Municipality design standards. • Strong verbal and written communication abilities. • Excellent organizational and team‑player attitude.
