About the Role

The role is for an Environmental Scientist/Engineer within Dillon’s Contaminant Remediation Group, able to work from any of the Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, or Brandon offices. The position involves managing complex environmental projects, providing technical leadership, and contributing to business development and client growth. • Manage environmental projects including site assessment, remediation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance monitoring. • Provide technical leadership to multi‑disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and technologists. • Design remediation programs for contaminated soil, groundwater, and soil vapour. • Liaise with public and private clients, government agencies, subconsultants, and subcontractors. • Support business development through proposal preparation, presentations, and client relationship growth. • Travel as required to project sites. • Commit to self‑development and mentor junior staff through coaching and training. • Participate in professional associations and corporate initiatives.

What You Bring

Dillon is seeking a technically strong professional who enjoys building relationships, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and acting as a trusted advisor and problem solver. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial, innovative, and flexible work environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills and business acumen. • Hold a degree in civil/environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental science (master’s preferred). • Licensed professional engineer or geoscientist (or eligible for licensure within six months). • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with proven project management skills. • Valid driver’s licence and experience with diverse client types (government, industry, municipalities, First Nations). • Demonstrated success in client relationship management and environmental project delivery. • Expertise in groundwater evaluation, phased site assessments, contaminant fate and transport, remedial options analysis, and remedial action plan development. • Proficiency in preparing detailed designs, cost estimates, tender packages, and compliance monitoring plans. • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, codes, and standards. • Excellent report writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities.
