About the Role

As a Facilities Operations Manager, you will drive strategic facilities excellence, supporting Area Managers in implementing both short‑ and long‑term client projects. You will develop innovative programs, processes, and procedures that reduce operating costs and increase productivity through close collaboration with Facility Management Leads. You will oversee critical monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes while managing capital and expense budgets. Direct interaction with client representatives ensures operational transparency and financial accountability across all properties. Leadership is central to this role: you will matrix‑manage both technical and administrative staff, supervise vendor performance during normal hours and off‑hours, including weekends, and ensure optimal facility operations across multiple locations. Day‑to‑day activities include developing and implementing cost‑saving programs, supporting Area Managers with comprehensive project plans, maintaining strong client relationships through timely reporting, and analyzing performance metrics to identify and execute strategic enhancements. • Develop and implement innovative programs to cut operating costs and boost productivity. • Support Area Managers in executing short- and long-term client projects and annual building plans. • Oversee capital and expense budgets, creating monthly/quarterly variance reports for each property. • Manage comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual facility reporting to ensure transparency. • Matrix-manage technical and administrative teams while supervising vendor performance, including off-hours. • Supervise multiple facilities across diverse functions, ensuring consistent service and compliance. • Analyze operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive strategic enhancements.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, a minimum of eight years in a corporate, third‑party, or consulting environment, strong organizational and supervisory capabilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and CMMS systems. Preferred qualifications feature extensive corporate facilities management experience, advanced budget development and cost‑reduction expertise, a track record of implementing operational improvements, client relationship management, advanced CMMS or building automation knowledge, and professional certifications such as FMP, CFM, or PMP. • Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and minimum 8 years of facilities management experience. • Demonstrate strong organizational, supervisory, and stakeholder communication skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and CMMS platforms for reporting and analysis. • Experience developing budgets, performing financial variance analysis, and making data-driven decisions. • Preferred: background in corporate facilities, advanced budgeting, SOP development, and change management. • Preferred: expertise with advanced CMMS, building automation systems, and facility‑tech tools. • Preferred: professional certifications such as FMP, CFM, or PMP and active industry participation. • On-site position located in San Jose, CA; visa sponsorship is not available.
