About the Role

The role is responsible for front‑desk customer service, including answering calls and assisting walk‑in customers, as well as handling shipping and receiving tasks such as picking, packing, and developing shipping labels and documents to ensure orders are correctly fulfilled. Under close supervision, the employee follows clearly prescribed rules and seeks guidance on non‑routine issues, exercising limited independent judgment while detailed checks are reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor. • Serve customers via telephone and walk‑ins, keeping counters stocked. • Resolve customer and service issues with vendors and associates. • Act as liaison between warehouse and customers. • Pick and pack goods, preparing shipping labels, instructions and documentation. • Determine shipment methods and ensure timely delivery. • Receive merchandise, check and sign delivery slips, and assist with unloading. • Affix barcodes, tags, and security tags; operate forklift, hand trucks, or other equipment. • Inspect incoming goods against purchase orders, record shortages, and reject damaged items. • Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise. • Verify documents, unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas. • Maintain internal record‑keeping systems. • Contact transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace, or return non‑conforming merchandise. • Take inventory, maintain the storage area, and organize stock on shelves. • Ensure the work area is secure at all times.

What You Bring

The work environment is a comfortable indoor setting but includes exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for more than 60 minutes, and perform repetitive motions such as using a 10‑key or squatting. A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, with 0‑2 years of related experience. Candidates should have high attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team while performing repetitive tasks.
