About the Role
This role involves safely operating a heavy‑duty truck on transfer routes, performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and ensuring vehicle compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company standards while completing required documentation. Drivers must report unsafe situations, assist with route efficiency, dump containers cleanly, handle customer tickets, position containers properly, and maintain clear communication with dispatch and operations managers throughout the shift. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck safely in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company policies. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Participate in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Dump containers at customer sites, ensuring the area is left clean and debris‑free. • Position containers upright, replace lids, and avoid blocking driveways or traffic. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Communicate customer requests or issues promptly to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Follow assigned route schedules and submit all required documentation at route completion. • Maintain an acceptable driving record as defined by WM. • Participate in a 401(k) plan with company match and a stock purchase plan.

What You Bring
No specific education or prior experience is required; candidates must hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License, be at least 18 years old, pass DOT drug screening, physical, background and motor‑vehicle‑record checks, and maintain an acceptable driving record. • Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and be at least 18 years old. • Pass pre‑employment DOT drug screening, physical exam, background check, and motor‑vehicle‑record review.
