The two‑year Technician Apprenticeship trains entry‑level technicians in electrical diagnosis, HVAC, wheel end, air system, air brake, and hydraulic inspections, as well as overall truck preventative maintenance. Successful apprentices must be logical problem‑solvers with enthusiasm for vehicle engineering and a commitment to continuous learning. Applicants must commit to the two‑year apprenticeship, be willing to travel to and live in Dallas for the initial training, and relocate to a Republic Services location nationwide after graduation.
