About the Role
The HVAC Service Technician will handle service work and site maintenance for national accounts, providing on‑site diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and technical support to customers. • Service products and equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction. • Use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specs to diagnose and repair units. • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations. • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed. • Prepare for on‑site installation and repairs by reviewing building layouts, gathering materials, and coordinating work. • Inspect vehicle condition and cleanliness. • Maintain vehicle service records, scheduling, and complete repairs. • Inspect equipment for wear and notify customers or Operations Manager of findings. • Document work by completing paperwork for each job, including daily time, progress, and duration, and maintain files. • Represent the company as a direct customer contact. • Determine and order parts needed for repairs in a timely manner. • Record parts, material, labor, subcontractor costs per assignment and return unused resources. • Submit all required paperwork and reports promptly. • Stay current on product installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair. • Read and interpret product specifications. • Provide technical support to customers. • Travel regularly, including occasional overnight trips, as required.
