About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality functional, conceptual, and preliminary roadway designs, developing innovative studies for roads and transit corridors, and partnering with clients and multidisciplinary teams to create context‑appropriate outcomes. The role also includes overseeing site plan reviews, preparing construction staging and traffic management plans, and ensuring quality through governance and mentorship. • Lead multimodal transportation design for municipal, provincial, transit, and private development projects. • Deliver functional, conceptual, and preliminary roadway and transportation design packages. • Develop transportation studies and planning analyses for roads, transit corridors, and site circulation. • Partner with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to align technical requirements and create efficient designs. • Oversee site plan reviews to ensure compliance with municipal standards and operational needs. • Prepare construction staging and traffic management plans meeting NSPW, TAC, and municipal standards. • Ensure quality assurance and control across deliverables through governance and mentorship. • Mentor junior and intermediate staff through knowledge sharing and professional development. • Contribute to business development by preparing proposal inputs, conducting research, and coordinating multidisciplinary contributions.

What You Bring
We are seeking candidates with over ten years of progressive transportation design experience, a P.Eng. licence in Nova Scotia, and a degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering. A strong commitment to sustainable transportation, proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoTURN, and Microsoft Office, and the ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative environments are essential. • Possess 10+ years of transportation design experience with a track record of complex municipal and multimodal projects. • Hold a P.Eng. licence in Nova Scotia and a degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering. • Demonstrate commitment to sustainable transportation and climate‑responsive design. • Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoTURN, and Microsoft Office, with a continuous learning mindset. • Thrive in independent and collaborative environments, guiding teams while advancing technical excellence.
