About the Role
In this role you will manage projects from inception through closeout, reviewing calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring budget and schedule adherence, and verifying compliance with regulations and safety standards. You will coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public, oversee quality control, and maintain detailed project documentation while taking personal responsibility for the accuracy of your work. • Oversee projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout. • Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for electrical substations or transmission lines. • Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule while delivering cost‑effective solutions. • Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, environmental and safety standards. • Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to ensure successful delivery. • Oversee quality control procedures to maintain high workmanship and material standards. • Prepare and maintain detailed project status reports, engineering documentation, and records. • Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work.

The Transmission Line Project Engineer role is vital to the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of power across communities. This position oversees the design of high‑voltage infrastructure, provides oversight for detailed design teams, and performs engineering support for EPC proposals, requiring a strong background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering and extensive experience with high‑voltage substations or transmission lines. Candidates must hold a B.S. or graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university, possess at least five years of utility industry experience, and have a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Strong technical expertise across structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical disciplines, knowledge of industry codes and standards, proficiency with relevant software, and excellent communication and leadership skills are required. • Hold a B.S. or graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university. • Minimum five years of detailed engineering experience in high‑voltage substation or transmission line projects. • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Demonstrate strong technical expertise in structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering and knowledge of utility engineering standards. • Proficient with industry‑specific software and project control/estimate processes. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external partners. • Knowledge of ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, NESC, and related codes and standards. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize in complex environments. • Willingness to travel up to 10‑20% of the time.
