About the Role

• Meticulously prepares material take-offs, designs intricate systems, and generates detailed isometric and schematic sketches from various technical documents such as blueprints, specifications, and job orders. • Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies to support the construction plan. Assists in maintaining assigned tool inventory. • Eliminates construction and job site hazards and performs required safety observations. • Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications. • Coaches, mentors, and provides guidance to the craft workers (sheet metal trade). Schedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers and operation of equipment and machinery. Verify all staff certifications when scheduling personnel on a project. • Identifies conflicts or need for clarification in contract documents. • Leads job planning for work packages, oversees construction/manufacturing schedules, assesses manpower requirements, and optimizes staffing levels based on equipment and tool expertise. • Verifies that delivered materials and equipment match approved submittals. • As required, works with tools to meet construction schedules or other demands.

What You Bring

• Technical training or an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered • Proven experience as a Construction Foreman • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints • Multifamily experience is a plus • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred, but candidates with a strong background in construction may also be considered • Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
