About the Role
• Leachate system design, management, and treatment • Landfill capacity analysis • Design of landfill based renewable energy systems including solar and wind energy, landfill gas to energy to energy systems • Facility siting, design, and construction management for: landfills, transfer stations, convenience centers, materials recovery facilities, composting facilities • Mentor and train junior staff

What You Bring
• Odor assessment and mitigation, tracer gas studies, ambient air monitoring • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D • 5+ years of landfill design and permitting experience is required. • 7+ years of experience site planning, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, drainage design, grading plans. • Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects at the same time required • Valid driver’s license required • Landfill gas collection and control system design including active gas systems. Management, blower/flair station, plant operations system troubleshooting and well field tuning, title V emissions reporting • Excellent technical/computer skills required • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required • Professional Engineer License in Virginia required within six months. North Carolina, South Carolina, Georga and Florida are a plus and may be required in the future
