About the Role
In this role, you act as a multi‑faceted maintenance professional who delivers quality service promptly to residents and the broader community. You will complete daily maintenance tasks that protect and enhance the asset value and integrity of the community while providing excellent customer service to residents, associates, and vendors. The position requires strong time‑management, attention to detail, teamwork, and pride in workmanship. You will be accountable for maintaining market‑ready apartments, common areas, and amenities to the company’s quality standards, and you must participate in the on‑call rotation as scheduled. • Prepare apartments for occupancy, including painting, drywall repair, trash removal, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs. • Perform daily resident service requests promptly. • Repair electrical, plumbing, boiler, hot water heater, HVAC, and appliance systems. • Complete carpentry work, drywall repairs, and interior/exterior painting, selecting appropriate paint type, sheen, and color. • Clean pools, monitor chemical balance, and maintain required logs. • Conduct daily grounds maintenance such as trash collection, pet waste removal, upkeep of pet waste stations, and sweeping walkways. • Participate in property improvement projects and scheduled preventive‑maintenance tasks. • Take part in the on‑call rotation as scheduled. • Ensure market‑ready apartments, common areas, and amenities are clean and meet Weidner’s quality standards daily.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have 1–2 years of maintenance experience, a solid mechanical aptitude, and the physical ability to lift up to 80 lb, work on ladders, and operate equipment such as appliance dollies. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, pool, and irrigation systems is preferred, as are certifications such as HVAC, CPO, EPA, and industry designations like CAMT. The role also requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and outside normal hours when needed. Strong communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and property‑management software (Yardi, Paycom), and adherence to Weidner’s mission, policies, and fair‑housing regulations are essential.
