Civil Craft Laborer - South Valley

About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer who will assist Laborers and Laborer Journeymen with material handling, equipment assembly and dismantling, work area preparation, and cleaning of machines and workspaces. • Load and unload equipment. • Supply materials and tools to other trades. • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment. • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging (5x7x16). • Level ground for scaffolding. • Handle motor and grout, moving and shoveling between wheelbarrows and buckets. • Perform general debris cleanup, including sweeping, washing, and disposing of waste. • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete. • Build effective relationships with diverse team members. • Operate power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have construction experience, be proficient with a variety of power and hand tools, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies, and demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills. The position requires repetitive movements and the ability to lift up to 50 lb, with assistance for heavier loads. • Vibrate concrete. • Construction experience preferred. • Demonstrate strong teamwork, positive attitude, professional customer service, attention to detail, active listening, and effective communication. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (heavier loads with assistance).
