About the Role
The Accounting Associate is responsible for maintaining all accounting records and preparing monthly financial statements for properties in a custom‑built real‑estate portfolio. The role partners with accounting leadership, owners, commercial real‑estate managers, lease‑administration advisors, and fellow accountants. After an initial training period, it operates as a hybrid position with time in the downtown Orlando office and remote work options. • Prepare month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual reporting packages for designated real‑estate assets. • Record monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance‑sheet accounts. • Review and assist with annual budgeting for assigned assets. • File monthly property sales‑tax returns and reconcile related assets and liabilities. • Compute year‑end CAM, tax, and insurance prorations for tenants. • Analyze balance‑sheet and income‑statement variances and resolve issues with real‑estate managers. • Create journal entries for property acquisitions and dispositions. • Support client audit requirements as needed. • Perform ad‑hoc tasks such as posting receipts, uploading budgets, and other accounting duties. • Provide superior customer service with a high degree of professionalism.

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1‑2 years of full‑cycle accounting experience. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in MS Office and general ledger systems; experience with Yardi or MRI is a plus.
