About the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for delivering Design for Reliability (DFR) work packages across multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Engineering projects for electrical product lines. Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality outcomes, meeting project schedules, and managing reliability risk in accordance with the reliability sign-off process. The role also involves analyzing warranty data, forecasting trends, and producing monthly warranty reports to drive problem-solving for top issues. Interaction with cross-functional teams will be essential to embed reliability into product designs and improvements. • Deliver Design for Reliability (DFR) work packages for NPI and sustaining engineering projects. • Identify and mitigate reliability risks while following the reliability sign-off process. • Analyze warranty data, forecast trends, and publish monthly warranty reports. • Create and revise DFR deliverables such as reliability goals, predictions, FMEA, accelerated life tests, reliability demonstration tests, growth analysis, and FRACAS. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate reliability into product designs and VAVE projects. • Plan, execute, and review project milestones; provide technical mentoring to junior engineers. • Develop an actuarial models library for electrical components.

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering is required, while a master’s degree in Reliability Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates may qualify with 0-1 years of experience if holding a master’s, or 3-4 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in product reliability. Relevant experience in reliability analysis and product design is essential. The ideal candidate is skilled in reliability statistics, FMEA, fault tree analysis, 8D, FRACAS, and life-modeling, and is familiar with tools such as Minitab or Reliasoft. Strong process-management abilities, rigorous problem-solving techniques, and sound decision-making are expected. A drive for results and the capacity to build rapport with diverse stakeholders complete the profile. Technical mentoring and continuous on-job development are also valued. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering; Master’s in Reliability Engineering preferred. • Possess 0-1 year experience with a Master’s degree or 3-4 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree in product reliability. • Proficient in reliability statistics, FMEA, fault tree analysis, 8D, FRACAS, and life‑modeling; experienced with tools such as Minitab or Reliasoft. • Demonstrate strong process management, problem‑solving, decision‑making, result‑orientation, and interpersonal skills.
