About the Role

The Assistant Maintenance Manager leverages leadership and technical expertise to guide a team of maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls technicians in a fast‑paced setting while maintaining a safe work environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance, handling multiple projects, meeting operational KPIs, managing work tickets, maintaining inventory, and ensuring building cleanliness, all while partnering with Environmental Health & Safety and supporting client relationships. • Lead, train, and support maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls technicians. • Model and enforce safety standards and promote good housekeeping. • Implement preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs. • Schedule, track, and complete work tickets and preventive maintenance tasks. • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure building cleanliness. • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety to meet compliance requirements. • Monitor operational key performance indicators, including labor tracking. • Develop, track, and assist with budgets and project cost analysis. • Provide performance feedback, written appraisals, and manage disciplinary actions. • Manage external contractors and be on‑call for emergencies.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, prior leadership experience, flexibility for varied shifts, hands‑on experience with industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls, and the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include budget and vendor management, familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), project management experience, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. The role involves physical demands such as extensive walking, standing, lifting up to 49 lb, and working in varied conditions. • Required: high school diploma, leadership experience, shift flexibility, industrial/electrical maintenance background. • Preferred: budget/vendor management, CMMS experience, project management, blueprint and schematic reading. • Physical: stand/walk extensively, lift up to 49 lb, work at heights and in varied environmental conditions.
