About the Role
The individual will collaborate with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in operational buyers' roles within the Center of Excellence. They will communicate and coordinate with schedulers for plan and execution updates, understand material requirements, and process requisitions to issue purchase orders to suppliers. Close collaboration with suppliers ensures timely delivery of material to the plant. The role includes executing exception messages such as postponement, anticipation, or cancellation of orders, and managing internal escalations. Monitoring internal team KPIs, providing action plans to mitigate risk, and resolving discrepancies with operations and suppliers are essential. The individual will work with logistics partners, evaluate supply performance (SOTD), and implement corrective or preventive actions to improve on‑time delivery. Additional responsibilities involve supplier invoice management, supporting resolution of holds for timely payments, maintaining optimal inventory levels with input from analysts and schedulers, and coordinating RMA of defective parts with Supplier Quality. The person will maintain purchasing data—including price, lead time, MOQ, and sourcing information—in collaboration with the Data Health and Commodity team, and utilize all digital SCM tools for efficiency. Required experience includes 5‑7 years in materials planning/SCM, a graduate degree with a master's preferred in Materials, Production, or Operations Management, and strong communication and functional knowledge of replenishment planning, MRP, forecasting accuracy, and days‑on‑hand metrics. • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to improve operational buyer roles. • Process material requisitions and issue purchase orders to suppliers. • Ensure on‑time material delivery and manage exceptions (postponement, anticipation, cancellation). • Monitor internal KPIs, devise action plans, and resolve escalations with operations or suppliers. • Evaluate supplier on‑time performance (SOTD) and drive corrective/preventive actions. • Manage supplier invoices, holds, and support timely payments. • Maintain optimal inventory levels in coordination with analysts and schedulers. • Coordinate RMA of defective parts and reverse logistics with Supplier Quality. • Maintain purchasing data (price, lead time, MOQ, sourcing) with Data Health team. • Utilize digital SCM tools to maximize efficiency and resolve put‑away issues.

What You Bring
• 5‑7 years of material planning/SCM experience. • Graduate degree; master's preferred in Materials, Production, or Operations Management; engineering degree a plus. • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. • In‑depth knowledge of replenishment planning, MRP, forecasting accuracy, and days‑on‑hand metrics.
