About the Role
You will also contribute to leadership planning, performance management, mentoring junior colleagues, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory codes. • Use external communications system to access and provide specific information. • Provide operational support on construction projects through routine activities and established protocols. • Follow health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies to identify and mitigate risks. • Design and manage monthly work schedules, assigning tasks to accelerate workflow. • Explain local action plans and motivate team members toward business goals and the organization’s mission. • Monitor and improve personal and team performance using performance management systems. • Mentor less‑experienced colleagues to develop their skills. • Conduct complex quality analyses, tests, and inspections with independent judgment. • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory codes, and obtain supervisor approval for any procedural exceptions.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Construction Engineering Intern for our Irvine, Santa Rosa, or Phoenix office. In this role you will supervise daily on‑site work to meet quality and timeliness requirements, and you will work three days a week in the office within our hybrid collaboration model. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a construction engineering or related bachelor’s or master’s program. No prior experience is required. Salary ranges from $20,00 to $26,00 depending on experience and location, and GHD is an equal‑opportunity employer that values diversity.
