About the Role

The firm is seeking a Supervising Mechanical Engineer to join its San Francisco or Sacramento office, where the role will represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members while supervising and coordinating project work. • Serve as Engineer of Record on dedicated projects. • Supervise and lead coordination meetings. • Lead, supervise, and mentor staff while assigning project tasks. • Conduct periodic employee evaluations. • Assist Technical Manager and Chief Engineer with technical training and staff mentoring. • Coordinate system design and project engineering assignments. • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects. • Manage construction administration duties such as field reports, RFIs, bulletins, and addenda. • Prepare monthly project invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and expedite client payments. • Oversee correspondence among staff, clients, contractors, and owners. • Contribute to the firmwide Expert Teams committee. • Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management. • Prepare proposals and administer project contracts and service agreements. • Supervise preparation of analysis and reports of system options and building conditions.

What You Bring
• Hold a current PE license and have healthcare design experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • 12+ years consulting MEP experience, senior‑level expertise. • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience. • Proficient in hands‑on design and CAD/REVIT. • Experience with critical facilities, commercial, and aviation projects preferred.
