About the Role
The role involves contributing to concept studies, developing design packages, and preparing planning applications, technical approvals and construction documentation across a variety of development projects. You will be active on several projects simultaneously, supported by the Manchester team to build technical capability and advance your career. • Contribute to concept studies, design packages and planning applications. • Prepare technical approval submissions and construction issue documentation. • Manage multiple development projects across various sectors and clients. • Engage with clients, stakeholders and design teams to ensure alignment. • Deliver tasks within budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements. • Produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports and construction drawings. • Liaise with authorities to secure technical approvals and statutory agreements.

Proficiency in software like Info Drainage, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or PDS, and strong communication and stakeholder‑liaison skills are essential. Post‑graduate experience, work towards chartership and understanding of financial, contractual and legal aspects of development projects are also required. • Apply knowledge of highway design, drainage strategies, flood risk management and utility planning. • Use software such as Info Drainage, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and PDS. • Understand financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding and project delivery. • Work towards chartership or hold equivalent professional experience.
