Assistant Service Manager

About the Role

In this position you will manage, develop, and mentor the maintenance team, providing expert troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliance repairs. You will establish a 24‑hour on‑call schedule, remain personally available for emergencies, organize inventory, and create preventative, make‑ready, and work‑order schedules while regularly inspecting buildings and vacant units. • Manage, develop, and mentor the maintenance team in diagnosing problems and making repairs. • Provide expert troubleshooting for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliance repairs. • Establish and maintain a 24‑hour on‑call schedule and be personally available for emergencies such as snow or ice. • Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials. • Create preventative maintenance, make‑ready, and work order schedules for the team. • Inspect community buildings and vacant units regularly. • Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.

What You Bring

The role requires an active, valid driver’s license and personal vehicle, residence within a 30‑minute commute, and preferably HVAC/EPA/CFC certification.
