What You Bring
The apprenticeship is delivered by CITB and requires Nat 5 English and Maths (preferably Physics), with the potential to work towards SVQ levels 6 and 7. Applicants will complete a pre‑employment assessment and interview before being accepted. As an Electrician apprentice you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as lighting, sockets, machines and alarms, apply health and safety legislation, install enclosures, connect and test cables, commission equipment, and diagnose faults, leading to an electrotechnical qualification and registration as an Engineering Technician. Successful candidates should demonstrate the potential to work at SCQF level 6/7, possess strong communication skills, be able to build good customer relationships, travel independently to the branch, and have the legal right to work in the UK. • Complete a 38–42 month apprenticeship leading to an electrotechnical qualification and Eng Tech registration. • Meet entry criteria: Nat 5 English, Maths, preferably Physics, and SCQF level 6/7 potential. • Demonstrate strong communication and customer relationship skills. • Live in a North Lanarkshire postcode and have independent travel capability. • Must be over 21, hold a UK driver’s licence ≥3 months with <9 points; no visa sponsorship offered.
