About the Role

• Serve as final technical reviewer for geotechnical reports, guaranteeing design accuracy. • Oversee creation of geotechnical reports and design packages as Engineer of Record. • Provide DOT and AASHTO technical expertise to regional geotechnical and transportation staff. • Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, technicians, designers, and project managers. • Lead designs for slope stability, foundations, retaining structures, and settlement analysis. • Direct field exploration activities such as drilling, test pits, and site inspections. • Drive business development by attending client meetings and identifying growth opportunities. • Collaborate with Associate Principal review committee to mentor future leaders. • Utilize specialized software (gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB‑Pier, GRLWEAP) for innovative designs. • Manage three or more large‑scale transportation projects concurrently. • Actively participate in professional societies such as ASCE, ACEC, or geotechnical institutes.

What You Bring

• Possess 12+ years of geotechnical and transportation engineering experience. • Hold a B.S. or M.S. in civil, geotechnical, geological engineering, or related field. • Maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) license (PG acceptable where applicable). • Demonstrate expertise in DOT Geotechnical Design Manual and AASHTO LRFD specifications. • Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar infrastructure design software. • Proven senior technical reviewer experience at a prior firm. • Hold a valid driver’s license for site travel.
