About the Role

The Coordinator will oversee the development, coordination, and evaluation of programs that enhance the resiliency of assigned units and their families. Responsibilities include organizing peer support networks, recruiting and training peer counselors, and collecting data for program assessments using sources such as focus groups, POTFF evaluations, and reports from psychologists, chaplains, ombudsmen, and FRG staff. The role requires identifying service needs, creating demographic‑specific programs, and leveraging extensive knowledge of DoD resources like Military OneSource, MFLC, PFC, and the Military Crisis Line. Coordinators will also support multiple commands across locations and serve as a liaison for community and family support matters. Standard company requirements mandate compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality assurance policies, regular attendance, completion of required training, and the performance of any additional duties as needed. • Establish, maintain, and report on peer counseling networks for service members and spouses. • Report network activity using specified tools and frequencies as required. • Conduct or support family orientation, outreach, and referral services. • Assist with pre‑ and post‑deployment preparation, reintegration, and decompression activities. • Facilitate family relational enhancement initiatives. • Support unit‑level career transition programs for military members and spouses. • Implement social/family and psychological programs, including suicide prevention and cognitive agility training. • Educate and communicate behavioral health and resiliency resources within the installation and community. • Help develop standard operating procedures and service provision protocols. • Act as the commander’s liaison for community and family support matters. • Communicate on behalf of the command through various media and social platforms. • Maintain awareness of emergency response protocols. • Comply with safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. • Adhere to the Quality Assurance plan and related policies. • Maintain regular and acceptable attendance.

What You Bring

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in education, human/social services, or a related field, or four years of relevant experience, plus willingness to receive specialized training in peer support counseling, community referrals, and suicide prevention.
