About the Role

The Strategic Account Manager, Multi-family drives market share and profitable growth within the multi-family housing segment by creating differentiated value for key decision makers. This position builds long-term relationships with national and regional developers, owners, asset managers, and other influencers to shape specifications, influence buying decisions, and expand Delta’s presence across new construction, renovation, and MRO opportunities. Leveraging deep market insight, a consultative selling approach, and cross-functional collaboration, the manager develops and executes account strategies that align customer priorities with Delta’s full portfolio. You will build and nurture relationships with top owners, developers, designers, and influencers, manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, and collaborate with internal product, marketing, and sales teams to deliver tailored solutions. Leading RFPs, negotiations, and project support from concept through construction administration will be essential to retain and secure future business. You will also develop comprehensive sales and account plans, analyze data and trends to boost retention, and secure new product specifications to increase market share. • Build and nurture relationships with multi-family owners, developers, designers, and influencers. • Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts to drive specifications, brand preference, and revenue growth. • Lead RFP processes, negotiations, and secure future business opportunities. • Provide product presentations, CEUs, and design consultations throughout project phases. • Develop and execute account plans with market analysis, revenue targets, and measurable outcomes. • Analyze data and trends to improve customer retention and expand market share. • Collaborate with product, marketing, sales, distribution, and customer service teams to deliver tailored solutions. • Deliver Voice of Customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies. • Travel up to 60 % to engage with regional and national stakeholders.

What You Bring

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) and at least five years of sales or sales-management experience, with strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Experience in commercial interiors, residential design, or multi-family and hospitality segments, as well as familiarity with CRM and sales analytics tools, is highly valued. Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects, adapt to shifting demands, and travel approximately 60 % of the time. • Minimum five years of sales or sales-management experience; MBA preferred. • Proven success selling building products to multi-family or hospitality projects. • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
