About the Role

You will oversee projects from initial planning through design and final delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met. Independent engineering decisions on complex problems and adaptation of methods to project needs are required, as is managing risk, change, and clear stakeholder communication. Quality control of technical deliverables, reports, and contract requirements will be a central focus. Mentoring and developing engineers and technical staff through coaching, review, and feedback is part of the position, as is supporting business development by contributing to pursuits, proposals, and client strategy for key accounts. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Professional Engineer (PE) registration, and at least eight years of relevant experience are required. Preferred candidates have established credibility with Charlotte utilities and specific experience delivering W/WW transmission work such as conveyance programs, pump stations, and condition‑assessment planning. • Lead W/WW transmission and utilities projects from planning through delivery • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Charlotte-area utilities • Direct multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants to meet scope, schedule, and budget • Make independent engineering decisions on complex problems • Manage risk, change, and stakeholder communication throughout project execution • Oversee quality control for technical deliverables and contract requirements • Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff • Contribute to business development, proposals, and client strategy for key accounts
