About the Role

The position’s main focus is to serve as an Agile Scrum Master managing software development for Life Safety products. You will enrich and foster a climate of innovation to drive growth and accelerate capability development. You will promote and support Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide, coaching the team in self‑management, cross‑functionality, and Agile engineering practices. Your duties include facilitating all Scrum ceremonies—daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives—ensuring they are productive, time‑boxed, and outcome‑oriented. You will protect the team from over‑commitment and scope creep, track and communicate metrics such as velocity and burn‑down, and quickly remove impediments or accelerate them when needed. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement, assist the Product Owner with backlog refinement and goal definition, and train stakeholders on Agile adoption. • Promote Scrum guidelines and coach the team in self‑management and Agile practices. • Facilitate daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, review, and retrospectives. • Ensure ceremonies are time‑boxed, productive, and outcome‑focused. • Protect the team from over‑commitment and scope creep. • Track and report velocity, burn‑down, and team health metrics. • Identify and remove impediments, escalating when necessary. • Drive continuous improvement through actionable retrospective items. • Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement and clear product goals. • Train and coach stakeholders on Agile and Scrum adoption. • Maintain end‑to‑end sprint cadence and vertical feature slicing. • Coordinate dependencies across IoT gateways, firmware, apps, cloud, and field tools.

What You Bring
The Scrum Master will maintain end‑to‑end cadence, enable vertical feature slicing, and coordinate dependencies across IoT gateways, firmware, applications, cloud services, and field tools. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, E&TC, or Instrumentation Engineering, and have 3–6 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery facilitator. Preferred experience includes 2–4 years in IoT, firmware/cloud/app ecosystems or building safety, 2–3 years working with cross‑functional teams, and 1–3 years in scaled‑Agile environments such as Scrum‑of‑Scrums. A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, web/mobile/desktop technologies, DevOps tools, and Scrum artifacts is required, along with the ability to interpret technical tasks, dependencies, and metrics for continuous improvement. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, E&TC, or Instrumentation Engineering. • 3–6 years experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery facilitator. • 2–4 years domain exposure to IoT, firmware/cloud/app ecosystems or building safety. • 2–3 years experience with cross‑functional teams (FW, Cloud, Mobile, Hardware). • 1–3 years in multi‑team or scaled‑Agile frameworks (Scrum‑of‑Scrums, program syncs). • Knowledge of SDLC and web/mobile/desktop technologies (e.g., Angular, C#, .NET, WPF). • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and backlog tools like Jira or Azure Boards. • Ability to interpret technical task breakdowns, estimations, dependencies, and risks. • Understanding of Definition of Done, acceptance criteria, and quality standards. • Awareness of clean code, maintainability, testing, and system stability principles.
