About the Role
In this role the CFO will design and execute an enterprise‑wide financial strategy that enables long‑term growth, resilience and value creation. They will provide timely insights and forecasting to guide executive decisions, ensure financial practices align with transparency and sustainability, and drive disciplined performance management across geographic profit‑and‑loss centers. The CFO will lead modernization of financial systems, including ERP implementation, to improve accuracy, efficiency and real‑time business intelligence. They will uphold rigorous financial governance, compliance and controls, oversee annual independent valuations, and partner with the CEO, Board and Audit & Compliance Committee to ensure clear financial reporting and successful audits. Collaboration with the Chief Delivery Officer, Chief Growth Officer, Chief People Officer, CIO and regional leaders will connect financial strategy with operational realities, optimize margin performance, pricing and capital allocation, and support strategic initiatives such as M&A evaluation. The CFO will also mentor and develop finance, accounting, payroll, legal, risk and safety teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability and cross‑functional collaboration. The CFO will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex financial concepts into actionable guidance for leaders and employee‑owners, building strong relationships across regions, and championing the employee‑ownership model. Success will be measured by a clear financial strategy, stronger performance and transparency, effective systems, engaged employee‑owners and sustainable, profitable growth. • Develop and execute an enterprise financial strategy supporting long‑term growth and resilience. • Provide clear, timely financial insights, forecasting and reporting to guide executive decisions. • Align financial practices with the employee‑ownership culture, ensuring transparency and sustainability. • Lead enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across regional P&L centers. • Modernize financial systems, including ERP implementation, to enhance accuracy and real‑time intelligence. • Ensure rigorous financial governance, compliance, controls and oversee annual independent valuations. • Partner with the CEO, Board and Audit & Compliance Committee to deliver successful financial audits. • Collaborate with senior leaders to optimize margin performance, pricing, capital allocation and evaluate M&A opportunities. • Mentor and develop finance, accounting, payroll, legal, risk and safety teams, fostering accountability and cross‑functional collaboration. • Translate complex financial concepts into actionable guidance and champion employee‑ownership across the organization.

What You Bring
• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and 15 + years of progressive financial leadership experience. • Proven track record leading enterprise financial strategy in complex, multi‑location organizations. • Strong expertise in forecasting, budgeting, financial governance and operational finance. • Exceptional communication, leadership and relationship‑building skills. • Preferred: Master’s degree; experience with ESOP or employee‑ownership structures; background in A/E/C or professional services.
