About the Role

• Establish and manage the project controls capability (people, processes, procedures, systems) for a major aviation programme. • Interpret performance data in monthly reports to enable timely senior‑leadership decisions. • Create, maintain, and control the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB). • Lead production and assurance of monthly KPI and progress reporting across time, cost, risk, quality, and performance. • Implement and sustain effective project governance, control processes, and systems throughout the lifecycle. • Coordinate the project controls function across the supply chain to ensure consistency and alignment. • Integrate planning, cost management, risk, quality, change control, and reporting disciplines. • Assure data quality and compliance with PMO policies, processes, and standards. • Support stakeholder engagement with client, consultant, and contractor teams in a highly regulated aviation environment. • Accelerate professional development faster and more transparently than in traditional organisations. • Use CMR’s in‑house capability matrix to track progression and highlight development opportunities. • Contribute directly to project outcomes and CMR’s future direction within a small, agile, high‑capability team.

What You Bring

CMR is seeking an experienced Project Control Manager to join their award‑winning team for a major aviation infrastructure project in London. This full‑time, hybrid role (2 days on‑site, 3 days remote) starts immediately and offers a competitive salary. Candidates must have full right to work in the UK and will operate under a hybrid arrangement, spending two days per week on a London‑based aviation site and the remainder working from home or other locations. • Significant experience as a Project Controls or Programme Controls Manager on large, complex construction or infrastructure programmes. • Experience working in aviation or other highly regulated environments such as rail, nuclear, defence, or highways. • Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels, including senior leadership. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly. • Strong facilitation skills, leading multi‑disciplinary workshops to identify, manage, and mitigate project issues. • Experience managing and integrating project controls disciplines, including risk, planning, cost, change control, document control, and reporting. • Demonstrated leadership of teams of highly skilled specialists. • Strong working knowledge of project controls systems and digital reporting tools. • Desirable: recognised Project Management or Project Controls qualification (e.g., APM, PMI). • Desirable: previous experience delivering major aviation or transport infrastructure projects.
