About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Capability Integration Engineer based in Canberra to provide specialised integration engineering services to the SSN‑AUKUS Program, supporting the development of Nuclear‑Powered Submarine capability. The role ensures effective capability integration across Defence and AUKUS partners and will lead capability integration analysis, requirements development, and planning for NPS capability systems to the Navy and the Integrated Focused Force. • Conduct capability shaping, concept development, and full requirements analysis/specification. • Perform detailed design, system integration, implementation, and produce supporting engineering artefacts. • Identify hazards, conduct safety analyses, and develop associated risk and hazard reports. • Plan and execute verification and validation activities, produce V&V artefacts, and deliver integration certification. • Review contract deliverables and generate required plans, reports, and documentation.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Engineering from an Australian institution or a Washington‑Accord‑recognised equivalent, with practical knowledge of platform integration engineering and defence industry experience, preferably within a maritime domain. A current Negative Vetting 1 or higher security clearance is required, and compliance with ITAR may be necessary. You should bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes for clients.
