About the Role

Core duties include operating all MEP systems, performing MV/LV electrical isolations, making improvement recommendations, and producing technical reports. You will coordinate specialist vendor visits, accurately record work orders and critical spares using the Corrigo platform, and prepare/review MOPs, SOPs and EOPs while participating in scenario drills. Health and safety compliance, hazard/near‑miss reporting, and regular toolbox talks are also required. You must maintain compliance with JLL MEP processes, ensure risk‑management documentation for critical works, liaise with the supply chain for M&E components, and conduct site‑specific technical assessments and skills‑gap analyses. Ownership of plant rooms and other areas under JLL control is expected, with a focus on keeping them to show‑site standards and meeting SLA targets for Corrigo work order completion. • Inspect, operate, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated assets in critical facilities/data centres. • Lead the engineering shift team, fostering a safety‑first culture and professional conduct. • Attend client site meetings and represent JLL as required. • Operate MEP systems, perform MV/LV electrical isolations, and recommend improvements. • Manage specialist vendor service visits, inspect work quality, and communicate recommendations. • Accurately log work orders, track critical spares, and use the Corrigo platform for reporting. • Prepare and review MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs; participate in scenario drills and weekly reports. • Conduct health and safety activities, including hazard/near‑miss reporting and toolbox talks. • Ensure compliance with JLL MEP processes and maintain risk‑management documentation for critical works. • Liaise with the supply chain to order M&E components and perform technical assessments. • Maintain plant rooms and other areas to required show‑site standards. • Meet SLA targets for Corrigo work order completion.

What You Bring

The Day Engineer (M&E Technician) role requires extensive knowledge of critical facilities and data‑centre infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related assets. As a member of the engineering shift team, you will be responsible for inspecting, operating and maintaining these assets, managing risk, leading the shift team, and ensuring safe, professional conduct of personnel. You will also attend site meetings on behalf of the client as needed. Essential qualifications include a minimum of five years’ experience in critical environments such as banking headquarters or data centres, LV Authorised Person (bonus), and relevant electrical/mechanical engineering certifications (C&G Pt 1 & 2, 18th Edition IEE, C&G 2391, BS 7671). Strong communication, IT and report‑writing skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure are also required.
