About the Role
The Senior Export Control Manager will sit within a global export‑control team, defining and implementing area plans, identifying risks, and providing specialist guidance to business units, head office, GBS and the Innovation Hub on strategic and tactical export‑control matters. Based in Derby with a hybrid working model, the role reports to the hiring manager Antonia Schoneck (Grade Level C) and contributes to Rolls‑Royce’s multi‑year transformation programme that aims to build a high‑performing, resilient and inclusive organisation. • Lead and develop a team of Export Control Managers. • Drive business and technical process improvements in export control. • Define and execute plans and priorities, including risk identification and mitigation. • Provide specialist knowledge, guidance and advice on export‑control issues across the organisation. • Identify and influence enhancements to the internal compliance programme with senior export control leadership. • Liaise with global export‑control personnel to assess regulatory impact on business operations. • Design and deliver general and organisation‑specific export‑control training and communications. • Participate in Integrated Project Teams across functions and locations to resolve export‑control challenges. • Analyse complex business situations and advise on regulatory impacts. • Develop and implement strategic and tactical export‑control compliance processes.
