About the Role

The Industrial Electrical Foreman leads a crew responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures in a maintenance environment. This position does not include per diem compensation and involves work on underground cable and conduit installation, termination, and equipment installation. Key duties include reading blueprints to determine material needs, identifying tools and safety risks, leading daily safe operations, managing workloads and supplies, cutting and bending conduit, installing and modifying cable trays, pulling cable, assembling equipment, terminating wires to breakers and panels, testing components, inspecting equipment, setting up temporary power, installing grounding systems, and rigging tools or equipment as needed. • Lead crew of 5‑15 journeymen/helpers in safe daily operations • Manage workloads, supplies, equipment, and reporting (time, cost codes, personnel) • Cut, bend, and install conduit and cable trays per specifications • Pull and terminate wiring to breakers, control panels, and distribution systems • Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage • Install and maintain temporary power and grounding systems • Conduct equipment inspections and hazard identification • Hoist tools and equipment using rigging or crane • Maintain records and report on operational updates • Apply lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and follow safety regulations

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least four years of experience as an Industrial Electrician and two years in a supervisory role, possess all required knowledge, skills, and abilities, meet physical demands, be capable of working at heights exceeding 300 ft, and have reliable transportation. The role requires prior experience with Zachry Industrial, proficiency in blueprint and schematic interpretation, knowledge of high‑voltage systems, record‑keeping for time, cost codes, equipment, and personnel, understanding of basic electrical theory, ability to use hand and power tools for conduit and cable tray work, competence with specialized testing devices, troubleshooting skills, and strict adherence to lock‑out/tag‑out and safety regulations. Physical requirements involve extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or platforms while wearing appropriate PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, respirators, high‑visibility vests, gloves, and steel‑toed boots. The position requires NCCER‑Electrician certification, a TDLR license, and commitment to a safe, drug‑free, equal‑opportunity workplace. • 4+ years as Industrial Electrician; 2+ years supervising crew • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics • Experience with high‑voltage and underground cable systems • Work at heights >300 ft, lift up to 50 lb, and operate in all weather conditions • Hold NCCER‑Electrician certification and TDLR license (Journeyman) • Reliable transportation and ability to work overtime as needed
