About the Role

• Undertake detailed power system and grid code compliance studies using PowerFactory, PSCAD and PSS/E. • Perform grid connection due diligence, including prospecting, optioneering, risk assessment and capacity evaluation. • Conduct power system studies for industrial projects such as water treatment plants. • Support electrical design delivery through power system analyses. • Lead aspects of medium to large‑scale projects. • Provide guidance and mentorship to entry‑level engineers. • Support business process improvement initiatives. • Write bids and proposals. • Liaise with OEMs and clients to drive technical outcomes.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in engineering design consultancy, OEM or utility network planning. • Strong knowledge of UK Grid Code, G99, G5/5, P28 (Ireland Grid Code knowledge beneficial). • Proficiency in PSCAD, PowerFactory and Python scripting; PSSE/ETAP experience desirable. • Understanding of high‑voltage substation equipment, transmission lines, generators and protection principles. • Experience with compliance studies (steady‑state, harmonic, dynamic) and DNO/NESO review processes. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
