About the Role

The MRO Specialist will join the Stanley Black & Decker team in East Longmeadow, MA, overseeing maintenance‑repair‑operations supplies to minimize equipment downtime and keep plant operations running smoothly. In this role you will manage internal and external processes for MRO inventory, partner with suppliers and internal teams, lead inventory optimization and continuous‑improvement initiatives, and drive cost‑saving projects while ensuring compliance with MRO policies. • Manage internal and external MRO processes to ensure adequate supply and reduce equipment downtime. • Partner with internal resources and external suppliers to maintain optimal MRO inventory levels. • Lead inventory optimization by reviewing MIN/MAX settings with preferred suppliers and the purchasing team. • Conduct tooling life and usage analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities. • Drive cost‑saving initiatives with preferred suppliers and negotiate price adjustments. • Ensure adherence to MRO purchasing and maintenance standards and implement improvements. • Act as the plant’s voice to Global Supply Chain MRO and Sourcing teams for program efficiency. • Monitor compliance with MRO policies and continuously seek alternative supply options. • Plan and manage consumable material supply, including cutting oil, grinding wheels, abrasives, and office supplies. • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams to achieve cost reductions. • Track and report KPIs related to MRO service levels and supplier performance.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates bring at least five years of purchasing and hands‑on inventory control experience, knowledge of parts and materials for manufacturing equipment, and familiarity with SAP, Ariba, or CMMS systems. Strong MS Office skills, a process‑oriented mindset, proven leadership, and a high‑school diploma (or equivalent) are also required. • Possess at least 5 years of purchasing and hands‑on inventory control experience. • Demonstrate knowledge of parts and materials needed for equipment repair and maintenance. • Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, CMMS, and CribMaster systems is preferred. • Exhibit strong MS Office skills, a project‑management mindset, and proven leadership abilities.
