About the Role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. Responsibilities include managing rent delinquency and collections, supervising staff, handling leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management in the manager’s absence, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and fair‑housing regulations. The role requires regular onsite presence and the ability to lead a team effectively. • Post and reconcile all payments, monitor receivables, and prepare eviction notices for delinquent accounts. • Execute month‑end closing procedures, maintain accurate resident files, and process move‑out charges and security deposit refunds. • Supervise onsite staff by hiring, training, coaching, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety guidelines. • Oversee leasing activities, implement marketing plans, address resident complaints, and develop retention programs. • Maintain property appearance, coordinate maintenance requests, conduct regular inspections, and manage vendor relationships. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, working in varied weather conditions, and occasional overtime or weekend hours.

What You Bring
• Require high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and 1‑2 years housing‑industry experience; knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA regulations.

Benefits

Compensation is determined based on the candidate’s skill set, experience, certifications, and other relevant factors.
