About the Role

The technician will respond to corrective maintenance work orders and unplanned fire‑system faults within the contract‑specified response times. You will conduct root‑cause analysis and diagnose issues using manuals, standards and asset history. Rectification work includes repairing or replacing faulty components, making safe or temporary repairs, and escalating major replacements when necessary. All corrective work will be verified and tested to ensure compliance with Defence standards and policies. • Respond to corrective maintenance work orders and unplanned fire system faults within contract‑specified response times. • Conduct root cause analysis and diagnose issues using manuals, standards and asset history. • Repair or replace faulty fire‑system components, including make‑safe or temporary fixes and escalation of major replacements. • Verify and test corrective maintenance work to ensure compliance with Defence standards and policies.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a Certificate III in Fire Systems Testing and Inspection and a Fire Protection Accreditation (FPAA). Australian citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance. Relevant post‑trade experience in fire‑system fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance, repair and compliance testing is essential, together with a proven ability to meet reactive work‑order response times.
