This entry-level engineering position provides technical expertise to solve problems within a specific area, under close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop their field knowledge and work increasingly independently. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET‑accredited engineering program or an equivalent qualification evaluated by NCEES, or a graduate degree from an accredited institution. A solid understanding of basic engineering theories, research and design practices, electricity and power quality, and distribution construction standards is essential. Key personal attributes include being self‑motivated, capable of working independently, team‑oriented, and customer focused. The individual should be able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to teammates. Preferred qualifications are a passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam, basic project‑management knowledge, and experience in the utility industry.
