About the Role
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. They provide strategic leadership of NRF Placing Operations at branch and job sites, coordinating with Branch Sales and Operational teams to achieve strategic goals. • Promote safety culture and lead by example across all employee groups. • Ensure work follows Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety policies and procedures. • Communicate placing safety and production requirements to contractors and customers. • Pre‑plan work and secure necessary labor, tools, and equipment. • Identify strategic growth opportunities with sales and department managers. • Coordinate modular and placing teams to execute the Rebar Contractor Strategy. • Develop detailing, fabrication, and installation plans for safe, profitable jobs. • Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships with modular and branch teams. • Implement a sales and bidding strategy promoting the “Rebar Contractor Model” supply‑and‑install package. • Share best practices with modular team members and support implementation. • Review safety and production results to identify improvement opportunities. • Report safety, bidding, productivity, and profitability updates to the Branch Manager. • Develop succession plans and train high‑potential team members. • Coach supervisors/foremen to achieve Nucor’s vision and values. • Ensure all billable items are captured and invoiced with the billing department. • Communicate company policies to the department and enforce adherence. • Assist the Sales Manager in creating an annual budget aligned with market share goals. • Cultivate relationships within the local construction and business community. • Wear provided protective equipment (boots, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hat, armguards). • Use hands to operate tools, computers, and other equipment. • Lift and handle computers and related equipment. • Work in a moderate noise environment.

What You Bring
Travel and frequent job‑site visits are required, and protective equipment such as safety boots, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and armguards (provided by NRF) must be worn on the worksite. Work schedules may extend beyond normal business hours. Physical demands include typical office activities, walking, sitting, standing, bending, using hands to operate tools and equipment, lifting computers, and maintaining close vision in a moderate noise environment. • Minimum: 10+ years rebar installation experience, with 5+ years pricing installations. • Minimum: 5+ years supervisory experience, including pricing and workforce management. • Minimum: 5+ years experience in the reinforcing steel market. • Preferred: STSC certification. • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish. • Preferred: Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. • Travel and frequent job‑site visits required. • Require close vision and focus adjustment.
