Tender & Quotation Specialist

About the Role

The role serves as the tendering authority for all medium to high complexity tenders. You will create and complete bids, estimations or quotations based on end‑customer specifications, working closely with the Operating Unit’s Tendering team and other stakeholders. Full responsibility for each tender will be taken from the IN Operation Center through the LOM Tendering process. Key activities include coordinating with engineering leads, project managers, SCM, legal, HSE, quality and consultants to gather inputs and support tender preparation. You will develop tender solution strategies, set target pricing, review single‑line diagrams and equipment layouts, and verify technical data sheets for primary equipment such as circuit breakers and transformers. Risk analysis, vendor offer evaluation and compliance documentation are also part of the remit. • Lead tendering for medium to high complexity substation projects, creating bids and quotations per customer specifications. • Coordinate with engineering, project, SCM, legal, HSE, quality and consultants to gather inputs for tender preparation. • Develop tender solution strategies, set target pricing, and review single‑line diagrams and equipment layouts. • Verify technical data sheets for primary equipment such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, transformers and instrument transformers. • Evaluate vendor offers, conduct risk analysis (technical, commercial, contractual) and drive mitigation and approval processes. • Manage tender documentation, cash‑flow reviews, and handover of awarded projects to project managers. • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations while upholding safety and integrity values.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8‑10 years of experience, with solid knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and substation tendering. Proven ability to manage complex bid processes, assess pre‑qualification requirements and support bid/no‑bid decisions is required. Strong English communication, high ownership, proactive mindset and ability to work independently across countries are essential. • Require a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8‑10 years of experience, knowledge of Hitachi Energy products, and strong English communication skills.
