About the Role
The technician will serve on project teams under the supervision of Project Managers, independently handle simple assignments with general guidance, and seek technical review and supervisory approval for proposed plans. All work must be completed on time, within budget, and meet the firm’s quality objectives. Key duties include engineering design and preparation of contract plans and specifications, Civil 3D design and GIS map creation, basic hydraulic modeling and report preparation, and collaboration with multi‑discipline and multi‑office teams. The role also supports construction management services, processes survey data, and integrates information from LiDAR, drone and 3D laser scanning platforms. • Serve on project teams under supervision of Project Managers. • Obtain technical guidance and supervisory approval for project plans. • Complete assignments on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards. • Design engineering plans and prepare contract specifications, including calculations. • Create Civil 3D designs and GIS maps for water resources projects. • Conduct basic hydraulic modeling calculations and prepare related reports. • Collaborate with multi‑discipline and multi‑office teams across AECOM. • Support construction management services and act as Engineer of Record for water projects. • Process and analyze survey data. • Integrate LiDAR, drone, and 3D laser scanning data into project information.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field plus four years of experience (or equivalent) and demonstrated proficiency with Civil 3D, Infraworks, CADD, GIS/QGIS/Agisoft and ACC. Preferred qualifications include strong oral and written communication, the ability to multitask and adapt to changing project demands, experience in the water/wastewater industry, and the capacity to work with diverse teams. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field with at least four years of experience (or equivalent). • Demonstrate proficiency with Civil 3D, Infraworks, CADD, GIS/QGIS/Agisoft, and ACC. • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to multitask, adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines. • Experience in the water/wastewater industry. • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Benefits
This hybrid position offers a salary range of $80,000‑$95,000 annually; sponsorship and relocation are not available for this role.
